Northwest Residence

Constructed in 1922, this Old Greenwich colonial had been altered over the decades, disrupting the flow and limiting natural light. The project aimed to simplify the layout, in addition to expanding the home’s footprint, making it better suited for modern day living. The public, private, and service areas were organized to cut clutter. Throughout, material restraint, tonal consistency, and architectural detailing were used to reinforce hierarchy and guide movement, resulting in a home that feels calm. The result is an organized residence that stays true to the original building’s character.
